Three supercool things happened this week. Let me recount.
Supercool thing #1) I got a job. This would probably be the least cool of the supercool things. Actually, the only cool thing about it is that I get paid, but hey, I'll take it. I've been working in the HR department at a local municipality, the city of Bothell to be exact. This just so happens to be where we go to church, and where Mars Hill is! If Mars Hill weren't moving downtown this summer, it'd be perfect- we could live in Bothell and have everything all in one place. Ned's job is about 10 minutes down the road from mine, so we get to carpool together- making the rush hour commute much more reasonable. Not only do we get to spend time together on the drive, our drive time is shortened 'cause we get to use the carpool (HOV) lanes. Yay! The commute's not too bad- usually it takes about 30 minutes. Although the drive home today took over an hour in bumper to bumper stop and go traffic. UGH. Usually the drive home is longer than the drive to work for some reason. Oh well.
Supercool thing #2) We found a church! Let me just say that it is AWESOME! It is a new church plant (only been around about 8 months) and it takes place in a coffee shop! There are probably less than 15 people there (including us) but they are all so cool. We spent over an hour after church last Sunday talking to the pastor and his wife, and the worship leader and his wife. Which leads to the third supercool thing that happened this week:
3) We have friends! Jason (the worship leader) and his wife Stephanie are about our age, and they are awesome, and only live about 10 minutes away. We had dinner with them on Tuesday and hopefully will be hanging out some more in the not so distant future.
So that's my week in a nutshell. Let the weekend begin!!

Wow, Laura. Sounds like things are going really well! It helps so much that you've found a church. It always helps someplace new feel a little more like home. :)
