Coffee and Music

One of the things I love about this place, is that the library has a coffee shop attached to it, and it has free live music every Friday and Saturday night. Tonight I saw the most incredible guitar player I have ever seen. A middle-aged German man named Hans. His voice was a mixture between Coldplay and Radiohead, and his guitar playing put anyone I've ever heard to shame. He danced as he played, oblivious to the audience, to the world. He sang with such passion and honesty, with a story behind every song. His music moved me, and it made me wish I could be an artist, so I could inspire people like that too.

The Flip Side

The catch 22 of living in the Pacific Northwest is this: You get to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, but you only get to see it about 1/2 the time. The rest of the time it looks like this :-P. This is a picture of our beloved sound and the mountains. Might as well be a picture of a gray wall.

The Commute

This is our daily commute. Even sitting in rush hour traffic is tolerable with a view like this :)
